Sorry

I've lost the ability to feel the pain of others in their loneliness. My empathy fades when I witness someone standing alone. My instincts guide me to see loneliness as a force of strength, not despair. I cherish it, and so I cannot see it as something harmful. To those who found me unhelpful, who stood abandoned in the fields of their loneliness—I offer my apologies. And yet, I must apologize again, for I cannot take away your solitude. I do not see it as a monster, but as something far greater, something profound.
