The inevitable truth. People will try to break you down, no matter what. But that's not your cue to get afraid. It's your cue to stand up and look at the bright side. Just remember after every hurricane there comes a rainbow.

How do we truly love ourselves? What are some suggestions?

Only you can truly learn how to love yourself. Embrace your flaws. Stop judging yourself as well as others. Accept the things you cannot change and focus on the things in life you feel are what makes life worth living. Anything that makes your soul/spirit happy. I've learned these tips along my path to self-love, I've still got a lot more to learn. Best wishes to you :)

Choose only the right things you want to hear, you're too important to be hurt by people who've never experienced true pain. Remember you can't un-hear things in the future.

You can't expect to live a positive life around negative people, don't take grief you don't deserve from people who don't deserve you. Don't stay friends with them if they hurt you cuz it ain't worth it!

Everyone deserves to smile. Sometimes there is someone there to help you smile but sometimes you need to help yourself

Opening up to myself and others about what I am experiencing. Embracing that at the moment, depression is a part of me, and something that should be addressed. Not falling into the "people with depression are weak" trap, and acknowledging that being open, and especially vocal, is in fact a sign of great strength. It's OK to be human :)

It seems like no matter how much I 'progress' on here or how much time I spend in the group chat welcoming newcomers and trying to be supportive to those no one else is talking to, I still feel all alone, isolated, trapped, and with no way forward. It all makes me wonder if I'm not just wasting my time and effort at 7 Cups when I still feel so bad. That's all.

I really needed this today. Just "talking" has me not feeling quite so alone. Thank you.
