i've really enjoyed the mindfulness exercises, i've realized that a lot of the time i try to stuff down my emotions by telling myself that they are 'bad' or giving them some other kind of label, when really i should just accept them as natural and move on without any kind of judgment. this is pretty hard for me to do but i know if i keep working at it i will eventually get the hang of it!

All of the lessons are very helpful and hold a level of understanding in them. As in, they don't give you generic instructions - i.e. "know that this isn't helping you, take a deep breath" - that could be classified as coming from a perspective that is unable to comprehend fully the state of being the mentality of depression, anxiety, etc. exist as. The instructions, suggestions and explanations are all very relaxing in how they are worded, and make going about comprehending the self and the nature of one's mentality to be far more comfortable.

At school, we had this thing called 80/20 class - which was a fancy name for Guidance class or therapy.I can't remember exactly, but the 80/20 were supposed to be like self esteem - we were supposed to read through the book and by the grace of all that was holy, our self esteem would be healed. The book was so generalized that I felt so out of place reading it.
Here it's different. Things are easy to understand. I don' t have to do mindless wordsheets and be graded on my "progress". I get to talk to people who've been through what I'm going through and everything feels personalized.
