Peer Appreciation Team => Improving our Posts

amiableBunny4016 February 16th, 2023

Hello dear PAT team,

Hope your are all doing okay. I just wanted to make a post regarding some minor issues with our posts or improvements we could make. Of course, we do a wonderful job with our posts and the graphics are beautiful! However, there is always room for improvement! 😊

Here are some ideas on how we can improve our posts!

  • Making font size look bigger on graphic + Making sure font is easy to read
  • Including a link to the graphic below! (Also connected to the idea of blurry posts!)
  • Copying and pasting appreciation messages as simple text!

Font Size and Legibility

  • Font size is very important so that it is easier accessible for listeners/members to read! Making sure that our font size is big enough is something we can improve upon! So that our appreciations are clear let's make sure the font size is big enough for members to read as well as the graphics! Using fonts that are easy to read would be awesome!
  • Including links to our graphics is also a good idea! I see a lot of team members use imgur! Keep it up! It's helpful for members to get the link just to make sure it's clear to them.
  • Blurry images- It's crucial that we make sure our images are clear and that members/listeners enjoy our graphics so it's a good idea to check that the image is not too blurry. If you're taking a screenshot of your graphics then it's a good idea to see if the screenshot is not blurry. If you would like to know more about screenshots Click here! There are different methods people use to share graphics/imagery in our team but yes, let's make the images clear! If you would like more support regarding blurry images or further explanation feel free to reply to this forum or pm @Fristo or @GloriaD
  • And remember you can always use simple text. A good idea is to copy and paste the appreciation under the appreciation message. Here is an example (this is not an appreciation but lets just use this image for now!)

Now underneath this image, we can always write the appreciation in simple text so that it's easy if the member/listener is struggling to read. (I actually never knew this trick until later after joining PAT)

  • Tagging members/listeners - *wink wink* To be honest, I am terrible at tags so I am not gonna go on about it too much. But yes, we all make mistakes with tagging. A good idea is to check if the username is correct and make sure the letters and numbers are correct! Its just @ + 'username' . So for example @Fristo hehe!

That is all that I can think of from the top of my head, if there are any other issues/concerns you would like to raise feel free to reply to this forum! Would love to hear from all of you!

Of course, if you are looking for further support the PAT team is always here to help you! Remember: Self-care is okay team!
