I participate in NAMI discussion groups simply because I love interacting with everyone and listening to what they have to say, we've talked about stigmas/stereotypes in the NAMI community from movies with mental health issues to sharing sources of books that discuss mental health issues in the NAMI community.
I most definitely enjoyed mentioning about men who with eating disorders and how the NAMI website helped me understand my struggle with bulimia nervosa. I hope to discuss men with ED's or ED's in general on here a bit more in the future but for now I just enjoy discussing and listening to everyone's input in this community.
The input and link to the NAMI website on self-harm was very informative and helped me understand a lot of what I didn't when I was a self-harmer.
I'm glad to be apart of this community I enjoy learning things I never knew from others.
@astray I'm so glad that you're finding value in being here. It's great to hear what you've learned and how you're becoming more comfortable with the NAMI Community. We're glad you'r here.
@lovelyllama13 thank you this community is really beneficial to me and others.

Hey y'all first time posting!!
@Bravelion03 Hey!
I talked about NAMI and sent resources to members! And I'll keep doing it :)
I have mostly talked about NAMI outside of this website due to family with mental health problems and have actively been involved with it.
NAMI is great. I've shared quite a few resources with different members. The feedback from them has been positive too.
I have shared information about NAMI with my members. :)
