Myth: Everyone gets depressed sometimes ❌

Fact: No, not everyone gets depressed. Everyone does get sad at some point. However, there's a difference between sadness and depression are not the same thing. Sadness is an emotion, while depression is a psychological disorder.

Myth: Socially anxious people are just shy and need a little push ❌

Fact: Nooo. There's a HUGE difference between shyness and social anxiety. Shyness is feeling slightly uncomfortable in new or unfamiliar social settings. Social anxiety is the paralyzing fear of other people's judgement, which can affect many aspects of a person's life. Also, it can't be cured by forcing them into situations that make them anxious. That might even make it worse!

Myth: Therapy is only for mentally ill people ❌

Fact: Therapy is for anyone and everyone who cares about their mental health. You don't have to have a serious problem to seek help.
