Need help to see tiny steps as progress.
I have chronic fatigue, but I'm finally getting it under some sort of control.
My home bears the scars of 20 years of neglect. My pacing plan (which is really helping my recovery) says I can clean for 2-3 minutes 3 times a day.
Can anyone help me see this as worthwhile? It feels like an insignificant drop in a vast ocean of chaos. It's impossible to be motivated with that mind set.
I can imagine that maybe it's insignificant for your home but very significant for your gradual recovery.
If something in your head is telling you it isn't worthwhile unless you go for an all-out cleaning blitz, then I can imagine that something in your head is maybe responsible for past relapses. But that's just my imagination, I know. I might be reading too much into what you've written, and getting you mixed up with other people I know who have recovered from CFS.

@Playingwithstring - I think something that could be helpful is thinking about it as what it can add up to. 2-3 minutes 3 times a day doesn't sound like much a day, but 9 minutes a day, 7 days a week is 63 minutes. That's the same as doing a full hour of cleaning once a week, which sounds much more substantial! The difference is just that you're doing it at a pace that works for you, which is a really healthy way to go about it. :)
A phrase I've been thinking about a lot lately: Strive for progress, not perfection. It sounds like that's exactly what you are doing here! :)
