Help?
Soo... My mom recently took my oculus which is my only way to communicate with HALF of my friends, and that really has me down in the dumps. AND it's my birthday today so that just made my day even worse, so now I'm trying to figure out how to get it back without being suspicious and I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to be able to ever talk to my friends again so they don't think I've been ghosting them or anything like that. Please someone please give me advice so I can figure out how to get through this shty part of my life.

Why did she take your oculus away?
If this is a common thing, you may want to connect with your friends on other platforms.

It is fairly common, but she took it months ago because the police were called on me, and I stole it back, had it for 2 months, then she looked through my stuff without telling me and she took it.
If you are a minor, your mom probably has her reason to take it. Since the police show up, maybe this item is a contributing factor?
Are the friends who play with you, real life friends? If not, they should understand. People go offline for a lot of reasons. And when your mom gives you back the oculus, you should let your online friends know how else to connect with you.
I thought I posted my reply but the comment did not show up. Trying again:

Hi!
I am sorry for that!
i am totally ignorant of VR technology and gadgets, but I know there is an Oculus App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oculus.twilight
Maybe you can communicate through the app?
Regarding your friends, you can explain and they will understand.
A late Happy Birthday!
All the best!
