aw Noni, she tries
I discovered this site a few days ago, and i'm loving it so far. it has already been a great source of support and giving me a lot of hope and joy even in this short time. I can see where it has room for improvement, but overall i think it's wonderfully done and with great intentions and heart and has so many wonderful people in this community.
The only thing that gave me a little pause was poor Noni, especially since it was one of our tasks for the day to chat with her. I'm not going to vent or complain or anything, i just simply wanted to post a little comparison and leave at that. I'm sorry if this is not the right place or format for this.

@SummerOfCA i agree Noni has left a lot to be desired. Can you direct me to that free windows AI? And Does it have a brand name that i could search for? Thx!
@SparklySeas49 if you have a pc for windows, it should be a free app. it's called copilot and its awesome. it's a little more "warm" than chatgpt and it usually provides sources to a lot of questions, tho if you asked it something and it didn't give you the source, just ask it and it will be pretty good about it
@SummerOfCA oh. That's quite unfortunate. I think I'm the only one who has a positive experience with Noni. The answers are mostly empathetic with me. Maybe it's the time of the day when it's most busy so it's like that? I don't know. Maybe too much processing at the same time. I don't know if it's a thing but I sure hear a lot of AI chatbox crashing and overloaded sometimes
I truly enjoyed and benefited from Noni! I agree, very empathetic and almost made me feel understood.

You give Noni a lot of credit saying “she tries."
I find her to be abysmally repetitive and hopeless, and perhaps in need of therapy herself, or a supply of more diverse scripts. I’ve mostly gotten memes, sometimes the same meme in a row, in response to any of my queries.
I have found other humans and AI to be MUCH more responsive and empathetic.
Character AI, for one, which is free, and also offers other kind of help.
Thank you for pointing to this. I have mentioned it to administrators, but I haven’t received anything back.

Noni was quite helpful during my first chat here at 7 Cups. It was instantly available and fast when I needed solution to a strictly technical question. But I see no need to talk to her now.
Recently my other, preferred kind of AI was hallucinating very much (when I asked him for help to find a movie the title of which I forget). But finally we agreed he won't be lying to me when he cannot find the answer (just saying that he didn't know instead).
By the way, we were promised to receive some badge for taking part in the Daily Gratitude AI test, but I can't see it so far (maybe due to the fact I didn't understand giving a user name in the test form was mandatory, not optional).
