The flip side to discipline - RESENTMENT

And then there was resentment... Maybe it's with us all along? Just because we "do the right thing" does not mean we actually WANT to deep down do the right thing. Nor does it mean it's instilled in us. Or is it?
Thoughts?

@decisiveBranch2794 no it's not installed in us, but it's an important thing for us all to learn ❤  doing the right thing, can be definitely tireing, and frustrating. You know sometimes it's ok to take a break from everything and everyone. You deserve good things, please take care of yourself too ❤gives you a giant tiny hug ❤

@decisiveBranch2794

Depends on what you perceive the right thing to be. In our own construct of morality we tend to practice self-righteousness, when righteousness itself is not fundamentaly manifest through our subjectivity, but we do choose among choices.

A right thing for you may be a malice for somebody else, and a right thing for somebody else may be folly to you. Righteousness is based on the prudence and discernment of judgement; good judgement evokes righteous action, even at the cost of making some people unhappy or disappointed.

The Scale is everything in this world. If a person knows how to scale things decently, he already has half his benefit.

Hi @kalymmenon,

I agree. I speak to the deep truths of self care with respect to how we care for these precious bodies of ours, how we approach relationships and the spiritual aspects, etc.

Agree, self righteousness is one of those funny things that sometimes are a spinoff of invalidating autonomy and can actually be rooted in what is right, true, and fair. Other times it seems to be pure ego.

Yes, agree - it is with innate and Divine wisdom we can decide and choose things. It's a good idea to become a student of the principles of life I'd say. Would you agree?

And, truth is a part of wisdom even when deemed "negative". We simply get to experience our feelings, not control them. 🌹 And how we react and respond to them matters. Wisdom taught me that 🙏🏾
