The Harsh Reality

When people hear the phrase "college life", they imagine parties, a gang of friends, trips, fun etc.

Well, atleast that is what Hollywood has normalized.

I joined college too in the hopes of graduating with flying colors and securing my future. I thought balancing the academic and the fun times would be a piece of cake. I was so wrong about that.

In fact, I am not even able to finish my assignments on time. My social media is flooded with photographs of my peers having the time of their lives with their friends. When I go out with them without completing the work that needs to be completed, I feel guilty for prioritizing fun over being productive(I have gone out with my friends too, I am not a nerd lol)

At times, when all the hard work doesn't pay off, I feel useless.

Time is slipping away. I still have fresh memories of my birthday in December 2021 and it is already December 2022 and I feel like I have accomplished nothing.
