Sit with your emotions don't run from it

Close your eyes .Imagine you are sitting in a garden with the person with whom you want to share your thoughts. Share your feelings in a gentle way . Smile a little, relax your arms and legs . Hug them if you want. Or imagine someone is playing your favourite song or tune in a violin.

I find this to be a very healthy way to deal with your emotions, instead of running away from it leaving in the background to torment you, sometimes sitting in and embracing the full weight of it can help. In some way it gives you insights to yourself, what makes you sad, what makes you happy and it's valuable in getting to know yourself further.
