Hey Guys.
this is my first forum post on 7cups. I just wanted to say to all the volunteers a big thank you 😊 for the work that you do here ❤️ and your support ☺️.
my favourite 🤩 is written by rumi.
I choose to love you in loneliness…
For in loneliness no one owns you but me,
I choose to adore you from a distance…
For distance will shield me from pain,
I choose to kiss you in the wind…
For the wind is gentler than my lips,
I choose to imprison you in my thoughts …
Cause in my thoughts freedom is for me to decide.
let me know if you like it 🤭 and plz do share yours 🙈

My all time favorite quote is "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." by Robert Frost!🌻

I always loved and love to read again, this poem by Carl Sandburg.
Stars, Songs, Faces
Gather the songs and keep them.
Gather the faces of women.
Gather for keeping years and years.
And then . . .
Loosen your hands, let go and say good-by.
Let the stars and songs go.
Let the faces and years go.
Loosen your hands and say good-by.
This is Tu Fu's (also called Du Fu) Poem - 'Jade - Blossom Palace' translated by David Hinton (I think his translations extraordinary)
Below long pine woods, a stream twists.
Gray rats scuttle across spent rooftiles.
Bequeathed now beneath cliffs to ruin – who
knows which prince’s palace this once was?
Azure ghostflames flood shadow-filled rooms.
Erosion guts manicured paths. Earth’s
ten thousand airs are the enduring music,
autumn colors the height of indifference.
All brown earth now – the exquisite women
gracing his golden carriage have all become
their rouge and mascara sham. Of those
stately affairs, one stone horse remains.
Sitting grief-stricken in the grasses,
I sing wildly, wiping aware tears for life
scarcely passes into old age, and no one
ever finds anything more of immortality.
I meannnnnn?! You're someone who shines the brightest in the CupsVerse, always spreading smiles, kindness, love around, it astonishes me how you are always able to look out for people, support them and remind them they aren't alone, appreciate them for the good they do and the good they are and encourage them to keep going *all* *the* *time* (but also not because that's a very *you* thing to do). It's a vv superhooman thing to do. And I am soooo proud of my superhooman shining buddy, for trying to do the same for herself, despite how hard it feels. ❤
My favorite poem to quote is:
Red rose is the symbol of passion.
White rose is a symbol of love and peace.
A red rose is like a falcon.
A white rose like a dove.
So I give you this pale white rose with a blush on the petal tips. For what is love without a kiss of passion on the lips. 💋
Bluebird by Charles Bukowski
There's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
to let anybody see
you.
There's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the *** and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that
he's
in there.
There's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the
works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?
There's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there,
so don't be
sad.
Then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don't
weep, do
you?
My favourite quote is "You light the wick; the wax is caught and drawn up the wick; the candle bums a number of hours, goes out, and that is all. The incident is finished. In a little while the candle is forgotten, and then, of course, it has never existed." From tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck
