November 😐

amicableBlackberry7974 November 30th, 2023

Hey everyone, I just needed to express how challenging this month has been for me. Firstly, I went through a breakup earlier this month, which has been tough.

On top of that, my sister is in the hospital and she will undergo surgery tomorrow. Interestingly, she doesn't want our mom to take care of her due to her heart disease. She's afraid that the stress of looking after her might be too much for our mom, who is already tired. Instead, she wants me to be there for her.

Adding to the complexity, my students have important exams next week, so I have been putting in extra hours at work to ensure everything is well-prepared. However, work hasn't been easy either. With parents constantly requesting additional lessons, it has become quite challenging to accommodate everyone's needs. Unfortunately, we only have three teachers, which is not sufficient to meet the demand.

To make matters worse, one of our teachers who was supposed to work today fell ill and was unable to come. This teacher has been frequently absent due to health issues and seems to always provide a plethora of excuses for tardiness. It's becoming exhausting to deal with.

On another note, my sister keeps insisting on getting a nurse to look after her all day long. She's worried about our mom getting angry, but at the same time, she's also concerned about putting too much strain on our mom's health and risking her well-being.

Phew, sorry for the lengthy post. I just needed to vent and share my struggles. Hopefully, things will get better soon. Thanks for lending an ear.

@amicableBlackberry7974 I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing this November, amicableBlackberry7974. It sounds like you're juggling a lot at once with the breakup, your sister's health concerns, and the added stress from work and family responsibilities.

Breakups and health issues can be incredibly emotionally draining, and having to balance those difficulties with work and familial responsibilities is undoubtedly overwhelming. It's clear you're trying your best to support your sister and be there for your students despite the numerous challenges.

Venting is a healthy way to cope with stress, and I appreciate you sharing your struggles here. Remember that it's okay to prioritize your own well-being amidst these challenging times. If you find it helpful, consider reaching out to friends, family, or a support network to share your feelings and receive additional support.

Wishing you strength and resilience as you navigate through these difficult moments. If there's anything specific you'd like to discuss or if you just need someone to listen, I'm here for you. Take care.

Thank you for your kind response and advice. Unfortunately, I have realized that my friends do not truly support me; they seem to take pleasure in my hardships. As a result, I have chosen not to share my personal life with them. Most of the time, I prefer to go out alone. In addition, my brother is currently studying overseas, and my mom does not have any other relatives residing in our town. I believe I can go through this.
