kinda want to say seat belt, but it doesn't really get Longer when pulled...so idk

That's the right answer!!! well.. seatbelts get longer if you pull them out to put them on. Or at least.. a bigger part of the seatbelt becomes visible

Yes, erasers are given to correct mistakes, not prevent them. I didn't think of that.

Eraser is actually right!
But this is a bit like the seatbelt answer/question.. if you take it too literal, it's indeed wrong. But you could argue.. that a mistake is only a mistake after a teacher has marked/corrected your work. Once you see it yourself while you're still making a test.. you can use a eraser to 'prevent' the teacher from seeing the mistake. But I agree.. the riddle isn't perfect
