Riddles!
This topic is about short riddles, because not everyone likes to do the larger logical puzzles. If you do like those, then click here.
If you've guessed the riddle, you can immediately post another one yourself. Let's keep it going.
I will start with this riddle:
What is easy to get into, but hard to get out of?
You eat something you neither plant nor plow.
It is the son of water, but if a state of water touches it, it dies.
What is it?
Salt?
@ladylazarus1971
Salt is the right answer!
It has a golden head.
It has a golden tail.
but it hasn't got a body.
What is it?
It can be said:
To be gold is to be good;
To be stone is to be nothing;
To be glass is to be fragile;
To be cold is to be cruel.
Unmetaphored, what am I?
@DarkWolf
could it be attitude or personality?
@mikhaela
That's not really the answer I'm looking for either. Maybe this riddle is a little bit confusing, so if nobody guesses it I will probably give the answer soon
If a man carried my burden,
He would break his back.
I am not rich,
But leave silver in my track.
What/who am I?
@DarkWolf a horse or a horse' footprint hehe
@mikhaela
There is actually a more obvious answer than horse, so keep thinking
A warrior amongst the flowers,
He bears a thrusting sword.
Able and ready to use,
To guard his golden hoard.
What/who am I?
@DarkWolf
a thorn
@mikhaela
There is actually a better/more fitting answer than that So not quite there.
Double my number, I'm less than a score,
Half of my number is less than four.
Add one to my double when bakers are near,
Days of the week are still greater, I fear.
What am I?
