There is a frog, dead in the middle of an island. If he swims north, the distance to the mainland is 2 meters. If he swims south, the distance to the mainland is 3 meters. If he swims east or west, the distance is 4 meters. Which way does he swim?

Four men sat down to play. They played all night, till the break of day. They played for gold, and not for fun. With separate scores for everyone, but when they went to square accounts they all had made quite fair amounts! Can you explain the paradox? How did they all win, and not lose money?
