@DarkWolf

We think one is Moss, two is Mews, three is area, four is damp, five is else, and six is idol.

@DarkWolf

Maybe a native speaker can use some of my guesses (I think top left one is good, bottom right seems half wrong):

Top box is left to right- damp, area and mews.

Bottom box is from top to bottom - idol, moss and else.

@DarkWolf B - the middle can be seen as a combination of left and right, where duplicate lines erase one another and the others stay.

@lazyKatz

The actual answer is B, because:

''looking both across and down the contents of the third tile is determined by the contents of the first two tiles. Lines are carried forward except when a line appears in both tiles, in which case it is cancelled out''

@DarkWolf I'd choose B, but besides the clockwise/anticlockwise alternation of the order of numbers that remain... I'm not sure why exactly.

@DarkWolf Most likely, my solution is too complex, and thus wrong. It is at least kind of logical. Starting from each number in the top most line, and going anticlockwise on the outer ring, and skipping two fields, it is counting upwards (e.g. all four corners - 6,7,8,9, and then from 4 to 5,6,7 and from 5 to 6,7,8.

If I do this analogously for the inner square, which is smaller, hence the steps would be smaller, I could get 11 (left) and 9 (right) for the two question marks. I don't think it's correct, though :)

@lazyKatz @Barltik2065 @cloudySummer

People got so close to the answer. Cloudy had the 9 and 11 switched around, and in Barltik's picture you can almost see the pattern emerging. But it was a difficult one where there's many ways to try and find an answer.
