I choose the one labeled "bkack&white". I know that it is labeled wrong. Now let's say I pull a white ball i immediatelly know that this is the "white box". Then because the other labels are wrong i switch label "black&white" with "white" and the label "black" with "black&white" and tadaaa🤗🤗🤗. If i pull a black marble I do the same process but with white insttead of black.

@Butterflee

That's the right answer! yes The main thing is to keep in mind to solve this is that all boxes are labeled 'incorrectly' to start with.

C. The dot moves two spaces. The center rectangle alternates between gray and white and the black square moves one step for each colour of the center square separately

DarkWolf OP May 30th, 2019

@niceDaisy36

This is the exact reasoning of the site I got the puzzle from: 'The value at each corner of the diagram equals the difference between the sums of the numerical values of the letters in the boxes adjacent to the corner.'

@DarkWolf

I am feeling answer is e may be as let circle be x, sqaure be y and triangle z. So 2x= y, 2y=z so z = 4x or triangle = four circle.

You have two ropes. Each takes exactly 60 minutes to burn. They are made of different material so even though they take the same amount of time to burn, they burn at separate rates. In addition, each rope burns inconsistently. How do you measure out exactly 45 minutes?

2 replies
Daisy7cups May 30th, 2019

@DarkWolf

I dont know how to explain, so just writing about what am feelibg to be the answer.

Let both the ropes have lenght x. So to burn x = 60 min.

Let burn the 1st rope from both sides and let simultaneously burn the 2nd from one side. So when 1st rope is completely burned , so since both side hence time = time for x ÷ 2= 30 min.

When 1st rope is burned the 2nd also burnt 1/2. So remainig is x/2 of 2nd rope. Yet time left for that wil be 30 since each rope takes 60 min . Now if we burn the 2nd rope , so tine = x/2 so 30/2 = 15 .

Hence when the 2nd rope burns completely it will mark exactly 45 mincoz previous 30 min+ 15 min = 45 min.

DarkWolf OP May 30th, 2019

@niceDaisy36

You are completely correct.

In short.. burn 1 rope from both ends, while burning the second rope from one end. Once the first rope is completely burned out, burn the second rope from the other end too.
