But that’s the end of series 🤔

DarkWolf OP May 19th, 2023

@VaryingCloud

You got the right answer! 👍 Having said that, you used a different method than intended. This series doesn't have to end yet.

@DarkWolf

Oh yes.. dunno why I thought the series ended. It could still continue smh

@DarkWolf

12 + 21 = 33

33 + 33 = 66

66 + 66 = 132

132 + 231 = 363

363 + 363 = 726

726 + 627 = 1353

1353 + 3531 = 4884

You can also tell me in words how you did it, if necessary. It's a classic puzzle.

@DarkWolf

Classic think out of the box puzzle it is. Forms a kite. 🪁

cloudySummer May 20th, 2023

@DarkWolf While I figured the intended solution out after the kite hint below... I can think of a solution with only three lines, as the dots are rather large, so lines can be sloped and very long.

@cloudySummer @VaryingCloud

Yes, you both got it! And you're right Summer, you can do it with just 3 lines too. 💡

A wife and husband were asked who is older.

The wife said: I am older.

The husband said: I am younger.

At least one of them was lying. Who is older?

cloudySummer May 21st, 2023

@DarkWolf I keep looking for the pitfall here, but I cannot find one. If one is lying, it must be the other way around. Or maybe they are the same age.

VaryingCloud May 21st, 2023

@DarkWolf

Husband is lying. At least one is lying means both could be lying.

Husband is older*

DarkWolf OP May 21st, 2023

@VaryingCloud @cloudySummer

Yes, both could be lying. So either the husband is older, or they are the same age.

@DarkWolf While I can't find a pattern in the selection of letters that were used, I'd choose the last option, the T. CDFLT... No idea why. 3 4 6 12 20?... Maybe just because 'it's a mirrored letter and it comes after those that were given already'. There's also a forklift sales company whose abbreviation corresponds to that array of letters, lol. And a 'fine line tape'.

DarkWolf OP May 22nd, 2023

@cloudySummer

You are very close to the intended answer, but there's a better answer than the T in the last option. 🤔

E? Could only think of balancing.

Barltik2065 May 26th, 2023

I say e

Two circle = square

Two square = triangle

Therefore

Four circle = triangle

lazyKatz May 26th, 2023

My husband thinks the answer is E. As a round symbol equals.5 a square equals 1 and a triangle is 2. Therefore E is the only one that actually balances.
