14 years I struggled with french because I hated my teachers untill one day it clicked๐Ÿ˜‰...

I used to skip french classes and go out with girls and one f my French teachers, she saw me with a girl at the fireman lighthouse and she got mad and jealous and nearly flunked me and punished her...

She asked me:"what do you cal a tulip in French"

I mocked her and answered "Finfin" from Finfin La Tulipe...the bandes desinees hero...finfin la tiulipe so instead of saying tulipe I told her "finfin" abd she nearly had a stroke and I laughed and smirked๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜and had a gookd time in my freedom๐Ÿ˜‰

14 years it took me to fall in love with French and that was on september 11, the morning the towers felll, I was headinfg for Paris and certain that I shall find my death in Paris...

@GreenAndRedBoat

Huh, I haven't heard of finfin. neat!

I loved French, but my teacher just wasn't teaching it in a way that any of us were picking it up.

Wow! I always find the "where were you the day of..." stories fascinating. That's cool though that it brought about something positive in your life. :)

Bandes dessinees in french means comic books and one of the Frebch comic book heroes was Finfin la Tulipe (fin means end in french and tulipe is tulip finfin la tulipe, the end of the Tulip, but he was just a hero of comic books) so it maddened my teacher to mock her saying the tulip in french was called "finfin"๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Another french comic book hero of mine was Rahaaan, I could never have a carved bone knife like his but I carved my own Rahaaan knife out of white wood...

Yes, on the morning of september eleven, just as I watched the towers crumble down, I went into my car to drive to Paris ansd I was sure I was going to ddie in Paris yet the Reaper did not want to dance with me...so...I lived to suffer other days...๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š

@resilientSky2187

No, I was just parting for France in my car to start my master's degree adventure in Paris at Sorbonne University and I was terrified...I had a git feeling like I was going to ddie in Paris...well, that proves gut feelings wrong๐Ÿ˜‰, the morning I watched the gut wrenching tragedy of both towers going down and those souls bore down on me...seeing people having to jump out the windows in despair...undescribable...๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”
