No clue what to do?!

shyCow1118 May 3rd

Need advice on how to communicate with my 12 year old son. He accidentally hit a girl with a basketball (he's still learning), she started a verbal attack on him and wouldn't accept the apology or that it was an accident. A "friend" (term used loosely) was in his ear and pushing him to do something, so he threw the ball at her hitting her on purpose this time. She then put hands on him and friends took her off. What do I do as a punishment for his response to peer pressure? He knows he shouldn't have hit her on purpose and he let his anger get the better of him. I took his phone away for the day but, is that enough? I don't want to seem like a pushover. I have a hard time disciplining my kids since my younger one is Autistic. TIA for any input. 👍

this was a minor incident and yet as the first one your response sets the tone ... peer pressure is only going to get worse... really communicating this is important NOW... i do not think phone taken for a day is strong enough....

i understand your limits of punishment presents itself in your younger child but you set the tone what happens when the next time it is more serious?
