Hey, I'm new to 7cups, really hoping for apositive community to heal and work through my problems as well as helping others!
welcome ! we are so happy you are here and all of the listeners are ready to talk. thank you so much for joining us. @hoping4goodtimes
hello im new here. had a relapse on bulimia and dunno how to get help. im trying.
Hello, @Peach6220! Welcome to the community! I'm so sorry to hear about your relapse, we are all here to help and support you!
@Raspberrycheesecake thank you! i'm handling my bulimia all alone... and recently, the throwing up has been worse (with blood) that i can't sing anymore. i think it's temporary though i might consider going to the emergency room if this happens again. hoping to find a recovery partner/friend that can help me get out of this cycle. it's been scary lately. i don't want to lose my voice completely. i don't want to die. i don't think i will survive this all alone. i know it sounds pathetic, but i'm afraid.
@Peach6220 I use to sing in the school concert choir and had to stop. I was devestated but my teacher didn't want me in the class anymore anyway because of my anxiety. I tried really hard not to let my issues bother anyone else....so it was a huge blow.
@Marie86 I'm sorry to hear. How are you now?
@Peach6220 I'm still trying to work through my ED, mostly on my own. Which is one reason I joined here.
I really miss singing :( I'm hoping by next year I can go back to school. Right now I'm being home schooled and it sucks!
@Marie86 if you need someone to talk to, a friend, I can support you in recovery as I'm trying to get better too. I'm handling my bulimia all on my own too. Is there any other way we can communicate? Can you message me in 7cups?
@Peach6220
For some reason I can't message you. I don't know why. Can I give you my email or is that against the rules?
@Marie86 I think it's because in 7cups, we can only mesaage listeners. But email will be fine. What is your e-mail address that I can send you a message in?
@Peach6220
Hi! I'm sorry the late reply. I didn't see this message. [Edited by FM Erato, 12/24/18 to remove email address]
@Marie86 I sent you an email. :)
@Peach6220 @Marie86 Please remember that any form of offsite contact is NOT allowed and that includes sharing email address with anyone on here. We care about your safety and this is a public forum. @Erato
I'm sorry about that. I actually never recieved an email anyway.
@Erato I'm sorry about that. Is there any way we can communicate in 7cups although we're both listeners?
@Marie86 I'm sorry I only saw this now. I'm out of town. How are you doing?
@Peach6220 Listeners can message members or any other listeners privately c: But that doesn't mean that the 1on1 chats should be taken advantage of. Listeners are still expected to behave professionally and would only talk about their personal issues on their member account
@marie86
Hey everyone, I just joined 7cups after months of thinking about it. I was in recovery from my ED for a several years but relapsed a little over a year ago. It's been a lot of up and down since then. Some days I really want help and others I'm in complete denial that it's a problem. I'm hoping to find some support and accountability to get through this.
Hi! I am new to the 7cups community as of yesterday (Dec. 9). I am hoping to find some support and management for my binge eating disorder before it destroys my body and health. I don't want to travel the same path that killed 2 family members, but right now I feel trapped in a never-ending cycle.
Welcome, @littlebluekk
We're all here for you
Hey! I just joined 7cups, and I'm so happy to be a part of this community
@loganAzalea hey I am new here. All my life since I was 12 I have been dieting. Eating has always been my biggest enemy and it still is. My weight has always been going a lot up and down. My family sometimes even say it to me like watch out with eating. They dont understand how hard it is. I am an emo-eter and used to also throw up. I stopped it myself bc I knew it was unhealthy. Sometimes relapse is so close by bc my family pressures me to be more thin, to lose weight or watch what I eat.
@Lies98 Hi and welcome! It's really nice to see you've found Seven Cups. You're really strong for stopping, I'm so proud of you! It sounds like you've been having a tough time in keeping your eating disorder away recently, and that can feel really scary. I can imagine that your family pressuring you could make it even more difficult, because they're basically encouraging you to do the same thing you're trying to stop. You can always send me a message if you'd like someone to talk to, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can! We're all here to support you
@loganAzalea thank you I am happy I found this
