Small Victories that Mean a Lot to Me

I struggled with binge eating disorder for years and this week I had a can of icing in the fridge but we didn't have any cake mix. I kept wanting to just eat the icing can itself, all of it. But I kept myself calm and waited a few days until my partner bought a cake mix to use with it. Then we made a cake and I had a slice. The next day when he went to work with the rest of the cake at home I was soo scared I was going to eat the whole thing while I was at home but I didn't!!

"I'm truly touched by your story. It takes immense strength to overcome the challenges of binge eating disorder, and your ability to navigate through those urges with such resilience is truly commendable. I can only imagine the internal struggle you faced when you had that can of icing in the fridge, but your decision to wait until your partner bought a cake mix and then enjoy a slice of cake together reflects incredible self-control and determination.

The fear you experienced the next day, worrying about consuming the entire cake, speaks to the ongoing battle you're fighting. But the fact that you resisted that urge is a significant victory, one that deserves recognition and celebration.

I'm genuinely glad that you experienced these moments of triumph and self-control. They're not just achievements; they're proof of your capability and strength. Please remember to cherish these victories, and most importantly, take good care of yourself. Your journey is a testament to your resilience.
