Unsure if I have an eating disorder or not

MarkyBanjo May 18th, 2019

1. My doctor says I am overweight. I feel extremely obese though, not that I am just a little overweight.

2. Can't eat any veggies or fruits other than cucummber and brocolli, their texture is bad or too juicy or too hard/soft.

3. For a week I would exercise everyday for about 6 hours doing hiit workouts plus normal things I do throught the day. I stopped due to no acess to a private computer. I will start again once I have it back.

4. I have tried to force myself to vomit though I did fail each time, I can only get to a gag. :(

5. I sometimes do not eat breakfast or lunch because of calories in the food available, sometimes I have decided to not eat for 3 days straight.

@MarkyBanjo - it sounds like whether or not it's an eating disorder, you're definitely struggling a lot right now and that struggle deserves support. Skipping meals because of calories and exercising to excess are dangerous habits and ones that warrant getting help. What do you think might be a first step you could take?

@Anomalia

Maybe eating healthier instead of eating less or overexercising would be good first steps for me. I just need help with eating healthy, it's so difficult.

@MarkyBanjo - that makes sense for sure! One thing that helped me a lot with eating healthier was to think of it as more of the healthy stuff, rather than less of the unhealthy stuff. So if I was drinking too much soda, I would focus on drinking more water (which in turn would make me not thirsty and I would drink less soda naturally).

I also think starting small and building on positive small changes can make it feel more successful and be encouraging to keep going. What would one small healthy change be that you can make tomorrow?
