Questions about my diet

Recently i've noticed how i dont eat a lot at meals, if i have meals. and i rarely snack on stuff throughout the day. I think I'm fat so I don't like eating a lot anymore because everytime I do eat, I feel disgusted with myself. I've tried to make myself throw up before but it's never worked. I want to talk to my therapist about it but I feel silly. Should I be worried about an eating disorder or am I just overreacting?

@maisygibbons First of all, I appreciate you taking the time to share your struggles here, it takes a lot of courage. I can't diagnose you or confirm whether you have an eating disorder, but it does sound like you have some anxiety surrounding food and your body and that it sometimes gives you urges to engage in harmful behaviors like purging. These feelings can be very distressing and I don't think you are overreacting at all - if something is bothering you, then it is worth looking into and definitely worth bringing up to your therapist if you think that you are comfortable enough to do it even if it's casually mentioning what you've said here: "I'm not sure if it's really a big deal or not, but I've been having a hard time with _____ lately."
