I feel guilty when I eat

bringmethehorizon65 November 4th, 2019

Whenever I eat I feel really guilty, I hate the feeling and it makes me avoid eating for as long as I can. I just feel really ashamed after eating something especially like a cookie or chocolate because my mind tells me that if I eat anything besides veg or fruit I'll gain more weight and I feel disappointed in myself for not knowing how to handle this. I feel so insecure :(

Having a balanced diet is good eating a cookie can be okay but balance food out salad can be good but sometimes you need dairy and meats and a cookie is a nice treat eating one every few days is okay make sure to treat yourself @bringmethehorizon65

@SamuelFrancis I understand where your coming from :) and I know I should balance out my foods to become healthy but really I just feel guilty eating in anything in general because when I look in the mirror I'm unhappy with my body and I'm not as thin as I want to be. Idk I'm just really insecure

@bringmethehorizon65 Have you looked at your diet plan and wondered what food that might help lose some weight?

I do the same thing... I know it's hard, but just try to tell yourself that you're eating for fuel. This really helps me feel less guilty, especially when I eat sweets and stuff like that.

Hang in there!

I have not been professionally diagnosed with a eating disorder, but I always feel guilty when I eat. This is especially true when it is something that is deemed as unhealthy, such as sweets or carbs. I feel horrible when I eat a regular portion, especially when others make a remark about how much I have on my plate when I first sit down to a meal.
