That is such a kind reminder, Kristen!😊
Sending lots of love and strength to everyone coming across.
@KristenHR Hi Kristen, somehow I'm just finding this post today (May 5). One thing I think I could use on 7cups, or people IRL too, is others reminding me and encouraging me to be kind to myself. I am very good at being hard on myself and setting standards of achievement that I wouldn't ever set for a dear friend. Perhaps a big part of this is learning who I am and learning to treat myself kindly as I would treat a friend. Almost like,
"Why hello there, potential new friend! I'm Platy."
"Hello Platy, I'm (however to describe and name this). I'm glad to meet you."
Question: Treat myself as a stranger and figure out how I get to know who I am. What things are important to me? Why are they important? etc.
#LateNightThoughts #AReallyGoodNap ! #LoveMySST I hope to hear from you, Kristen; and others Ideas? Your thoughts on this? Is this addressed somewhere else in the forum? ~ Platy

I'm glad you found it, even though it's May. There are a couple communities on 7 Cups that may touch on encouragement more readily - I'm thinking of the Self-Esteem community, and the Motivation and Accountability community. We do encourage people, but not typically readily as it's own post. But that is a great idea!
I love your questions at the end.
I believe fully that if we treated ourselves as we would treat our best friend, that our self-talk would look a lot different in a positive way. Great exercise.
