I'm new here and I've been struggling with undiagnosed anorexia for the past 2ish years. Recently it's gotten really bad but I have to wait about 3-4 months until I live on my own and can see a therapist. So for now I'm chillin on here I guess. If anyone wants to be friends I'd love to meet some new people who can relate to what I'm going through c:

Hi @rakkoon How are you going? I see you posted about a month ago - I also have an eating disorder. It’s been about 9 years. I’m currently in recovery phase but I still deal with the thoughts every day. Currently batting the urge to buy a scale. How are you and your struggles

Thank you for replying, I'm really sorry to hear you've been struggling with an ed for 9 years but I wish all the strength you need for recovery! :) I'm still not well, but I'm trying hard to not get dangerously low because I'm really scared of having to go to the hospital or a psych ward or something. It's just awfully difficult with all the ed thoughts 24/7 ;-;

No worries. Yeah I understand. Its tough having them 24/7. Have you ever tried breathing techniques to calm the mind? I do this on at the moment that helps me just relax a little and not feel emotionally attached to the thought. It’s goes like this: inhale through the nose, hold for 6seconds, exhale for 6 seconds, hold the no air for 6 seconds and repeat for as long as you can or fee relaxed - I never did breathing techniques until about 3 weeks ago and this helps me empty the mind. Hope this helps and things get better for you. You got this!
