Hi. I'm sorry about your cyst. I've heard of people with PCOS having them hence the Polycystic part. I'm sorry you are going through that. They found a small cyst during my last pap smear. I have horrible periods (PMDD) and I want them to do a laparascopy to see what else could be going on.Cause birth control isn't helping and I'm bleeding early on the pill and cramping horribly, but my doctor won't do any procedures.

I also have PCOS and it's horrible. Although I don't know how many of symptoms are caused by it specifically because I also have a high level of prolactin ( a hormone produced by the pitutary gland) along with fibromyalgia. And some symptoms are inter-related

My two my concerning symptoms were weight gain and sweating.I had like a 20 lb weight gain in less than 6 months and didn't change my diet or exercise drastically. I could understand 5-10 lbs. But never that much. I also experience break outs and periods but that's been going on for awhile. The weight thing- I've always struggled with weight but I never weight up this high.

My other problem is I can't stop sweating profusely. It's horrible and embarrassing. At work after a few hours,my hair is literallysoaked.Does anyone experience any of these symptoms and what do u do for them? Thanks!

Yes, weight gain can be a problem. I also had problems with my period and last year I even stopped having it.Although I think it also had to with stress etc. Did you try acunpunture? I tried and it helped regulate my periods. It can be expensive though but I think health isa good investment

I did acupuncture once and after that my period would not stop for like weeks. But maybe they did something wrong.

I've heard such good things about it. And I want to try it for my fibro.

Thanks :)

Does anyone have tips on regulating cycle to become pregnant?

blueHickory43 OP August 19th, 2015

Some people use a herb: cat's claw to help with that.

Is weight gain just a symptom of PCO if you have an insuline resistance or does it have to do with something else?

not quite sure. It's best to ask a doctor. But choose a doctor who really cares about the subject. Some of them don't give a shit about explaining us what is this about

Okay thanks! I experienced that too. They said: Well you might have the PCO, take the pill for 6 month and then we'll see if you period and that stuff gets normal. Not even to me, but to my parents on the phone...

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome too, and I went untreated for a long time. I ended up getting type 2 diabetes because of it. Now I'm married and I'm scared that I won't be able to have kids with my husband. :(

Hi! Don't loose hope. There are many people with PCOS who can have babies :) But you should make sure it gets treatment. Acunpuncture helps

Taking Norethindrone because Progesterone tabs didn't work. It's been the only thing that has jump-started ovulation. I'm hoping that this will be all I need to do to get pregnant, but so far no luck. Also on Metformin for diabetes as well as PCOS. I'm being treated, but who knows. Thanks for the kind words!
