What about you, zaatar?
@audienta
Hey there, Audii! It warmed my whole heart in hearing that your resilience has surprised you this past year- and it's no doubt fostered by your self-advocacy in standing up for yourself, recognizing and honoring your boundaries, and the support you have nurtured in your corner, like your bestie and your medical team. Being hospitalized is something I relate to myself- I know how tremendously challenging it can be to remain hopeful but also how empowering it can feel when we remain hopeful or find peace despite all odds and uncertainty. When you mentioned wanting to be more conscious of being gentle with yourself, I felt that so deeply. When you say you want to internally slow down, what does that mean to you? How does it look, sound and feel? π€ Thank you for sharing!
Oooouuu as for me? You uno reserved me. Keke
π What was one thing that surprised you about yourself in a positive way this year so far?
That I'm more capable than I imagined, though I still am unlearning all of the self-doubt that has been fostered within me over a lifetime.
π What has been 1-3 ways you've showed up to support/nurture yourself physically/emotionally/mentally/spiritually?
As a devout atheist since my childhood, meeting Yah in recent years and truly leaning on Him during difficult times has been a gift to myself I cherish most. Realizing and honoring my boundaries, too, without question. And, learning how to myself a priority assertively through self-advocacy with others and even with myself - focusing on my well being, my needs and feelings.
π What has been able, or who has shown up, to support you most?
The Most High and my fiancΓ©.
π₯ What challenges have you faced and overcome?
Lack of quality medical care, managing and prospering despite medical negligence, and my own self-saboteurs. Not to mention navigating situations with difficult and non-perceptive people.
π What challenges are you currently facing?
Honestly, at the moment, I don't feel I have any challenges - just obstacles I know how to overcome as they were once challenges, mainly with my physical health.
π« What is one personal goal you are working on or would like to accomplish by 2024?
In 2024, I want to feel at peace with myself and where I'm at in life, with a vision for where I'd like to go next and what I'm meant to build toward. I want to continue healing inside and out.
@zaatarHoney
Thank you for your kind words! With slowing down internally, I mean, that I want to give myself more time to listen to my own thoughts and feelings and not just rush over them.
I'm happy to hear that you've found support in spirituality and that you see old challenges as obstacles you now know how to get over. That's so good to hear. I hope, you keep finding your way with peace and trust.
π What was one thing that surprised you about yourself in a positive way this year so far?
Learning more about how I identify and allowing myself to understand these things
π What has been 1-3 ways you've showed up to support/nurture yourself physically/emotionally/mentally/spiritually?
Walks and art to process thoughts, making sure I get the rest my body and brain need
π What has been able, or who has shown up, to support you most?
My lovely girlfriend <3 she knows how to make me smile on days I feel like I cant
π₯ What challenges have you faced and overcome?
Getting over old "friends" and things they did to me
π What challenges are you currently facing?
Allowing myself to better communicate with my mom and accepting help from others
π« What is one personal goal you are working on or would like to accomplish by 2024?
Understand that I can need help and not be okay, that I dont need to be constantly helping others. Take time to regulate myself when needed and communicate ways others can help
@tasiaah
β¦ Thank you so much for sharing your update. β¦ When you'd mentioned you've been spending more time learning about yourself and your identity, I'm absolutely living for how this spilled into the next question where I sensed an underlying: I am listening to my needs. This mind/body/spirit/heart alignment has a certain harmony to it.
While I'm hearing there's still some residual pain left behind from old 'friends' who weren't careful with your heart, I still see how you give shine to your girlfriend who is able to bring you some much needed sunshine on those cloudy days, and I admire your celebration of her presence in your life.
Learning to communicate with specific people isn't often a simple task. I'm wondering, what isn't working at the moment with your communication when you speak to your mom? What does work?
"I can need help and not be okay." There was so much power behind these words. As someone who seems to be the nurturer, the healer, the resolver, and more, what an incredible gift to give yourself this new year - not forgetting to mention, your desire to learn how to accept help, too.
I am hearing that it's finally your turn to receive your own love and this post is essentially a promise, and progress snapshot, of all the ways you're choosing consciously to honor yourself past, present and future. :)
π What was one thing that surprised you about yourself in a positive way this year so far?
ο»ΏMy courage and bravery to be independent. What about ya?
π What have been 1-3 ways you've shown up to support/nurture yourself physically/emotionally/mentally/spiritually?
Cooking my favorite dishes, taking myself on dessert and coffee dates, being able to answer back to people trying to devalue or insult me (which is something new as previously I would just ignore them), connecting more with The Almighty God for that peaceful mindset. How about you?
π What has been able, or who has shown up, to support you most?
Getting out of my comfort zone has supported me a lot recently. So, I'd like to give this credit to myself and my parents and two younger siblings for believing in me and my dreams. Who has been your constant support?
π₯ What challenges have you faced and overcome?
Completing my Master's dissertation before the deadline and graduating with the highest grade which only felt like a dream until it was done. My dream came true! And yours?
π What challenges are you currently facing?
Waiting for some of my documentation and important work to get over, working multiple jobs (as a Psychologist and content writer and volunteering for two NGOs) along with helping my fiance with his exams prep, studies, and thesis. It's very stressful and I wish I could just skip the documentation part!
How about your challenges?
π« What is one personal goal you are working on or would like to accomplish by 2024?
Start my clinic independently. What is yours?
Thanks for having me here! Have a splendid day ahead

It sounds like you are stepping into your greatness and self-empowerment this year!! This is momentous, and I can imagine all of the conscious effort you've put into motion to create this reality for yourself. I hear you honoring your parents and two younger sibs in supporting you, which is beautiful, and as well as The Most High. I enjoyed reading about the work you've been up to and what is just on the horizon for you!
I admire how you not only graduated, but you did so at the very top of your class, too!! Congratulations, I hope it sinks in what a mighty accomplishment this was - not because you were ever incapable, but as our most challenging obstacle is often ourselves, you allowing yourself to see this through, let alone in major ways, is the greatest feat of all. That independent clinic you're dreaming of is all the more possible, now more than ever. β₯οΈ
Best wishes to you, and to your fiance who also has dreams to pursue, as well as your family!! May you all prosper in wonderful, mesmerizing and unexpected ways. And I appreciate you asking about me, as well. That was so thoughtful. I did respond above if you were wondering what my answers may be! Keke.
