How to deal

Hi. I've been using the app for a few months now, but this is my first forum post. I just get so depressed lately, and no one sees it. They see this strong girl that can take on anything, but on the inside, I feel broken. I hide at work and cry for hours. I'm so far behind and that makes me more overwhelmed. Life is a lot right now and it feels like everything keeps going wrong from cancer to death to broken back to my roof being ripped off in a storm and its just to much. I just want life to chill out and I want to cope better. How do I manage this? I was never an emotional person until now. I feel like the dam broke and now I cant stop crying. I feel so weak and broken.

Hello. I'm sorry to hear about those difficult troubles you've gone through. I understand feeling overwhelmed with too many problems at once or in a row. It makes even the easy tasks in life seem difficult. Just remember... it can't rain all the time. Sooner or later it's gonna clear up and everything will be ok. We just gotta live each day working on things that improve our situations so we can get to those better days. They'll come.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to brighter days. It's been been one thing after the next so long. Somedays is hard to find a reason to smile, but I try my best to be positive and not cry too much. It doesn't help and just makes me feel weak. Thank you again.

You're welcome. What I told you in the previous message, I have to tell myself at times too. I'm shooting for 3 goals per day. They range from- doing laundry, combing my hair, getting important paperwork finished to various other chores and errands. That way I don't have some overwhelming list and I feel better accomplishing things instead of letting them pile up.


I wish life would give me a break too. It's been a rough couple of years. I cry sometimes because it's a good way to release.

Thank you. I'm just going through a lot. Thanks for the links. I'll take a look at them. I hope to get to a place of healing and joy, but it seems so far away right now. I feel lost and broken. Being here helps though. Thanks again.

I hope you've been able to use this app and any support system in your life to help you through your tough times! I too feel like to people who dont know better I'm the person with a positive demeanor and always happy on the outside but inside feel empty often. It's good to remember we aren't the only ones who feel the way we do :)
