Today is international Yoga day!

Yoga has many positive benefits for our mind and body. Yoga can be defined as to unite or join.

What are some benefits of yoga?

  • Uplifts our mood

  • Improves our flexibility

  • Lowers blood pressure

  • Improves our balance

  • Reduces stress

  • Teaches better breathing

  • Increases self confidence

There are so many more benefits to yoga. It can also help ground ourselves which can help with depression and anxiety! There are countless yoga moves/styles, that are all made from beginners to experts!

i've heard of tree pose and downward dog!

i would probably choose a royal blue mat!

Have you ever tried yoga before? If yes, how was it? If not, is it something you’d like to try?
Yes! It was amazing. The months where I was doing yoga on a daily basis are the months that I felt my calmest and most confident. I haven't done yoga for a few months now, but this post is going to be the reason I start up again tonight. So thank you for that :)

What is one yoga pose you know or have heard of?
Bakasana (crow pose)

If you could have any colour or design yoga mat, which would you choose?
A deep forest green with patterns of tree branches over top in a bit of a lighter green.

Have you ever tried yoga before? If yes, how was it? If not, is it something you’d like to try?
I have tried yoga before! I have to admit that some of the things were a little hard to do, but in the end, it was definitely quite relaxing and really worth it.
What is one yoga pose you know or have heard of?
There are many yoga poses that I have heard of and done. Two of these are the mountain pose and the downward dog
If you could have any colour or design yoga mat, which would you choose?
Honestly, the main focus for me when I'm thinking about a yoga mat is the comfort that it would provide. I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to colors and designs, so I would be fine as long as it was simple and looked nice :)

    The tree pose , dolphin pose , plank pose

    I think a black mat with white stripes on it

I've done Yoga before. It's nice to do depending on your mood. I like doing it in a lake environment (but I haven't gone in a long while). There's one called Surya Namaskar/Sun Salutation and it involves the sun. The yoga mat could be purple!

I have tried yoga before. I regularly do yoga, taichi and qigong as part of my wellness and as a form of exercise.

What is one yoga pose you know or have heard of?
I have heard a lot of different yoga pose names. Such as Downward-Facing Dog, Tree Pose, Bridge Pose, Warrior Pose, Chair Pose.

If you could have any colour or design yoga mat, which would you choose?
