Restoring Motivation

breadloafy March 13th, 2017

After a thread I've created here on the challenges of depression, I've noticed that the biggest factor that was mentioned by everyone who participated is a Lack of Motivation. So this is for you all who needs help getting that motivation back and restoring vigor into your daily activities. Best of luck, lots of love.

Source!

1) Break things down into small, easily doable tasks.

Things we used to do every day can get overwhelming when we're tired and emotional. Make things easier for yourself to do.

2) Ask for help.

It's not easy to ask for help, but it's very important in gaining traction. Get a family member or a friend to remind you to do things, or give words of encouragement when you need them.

3) Do it for the sake of doing it, not to enjoy it.

We can lose interest in the things we used to love to do. It happens. But step one to getting that joy back is to get into a habit of doing those things. This makes it easier to get the ball rolling again.
