@faithfulTriangle3777 depends on what the person wants to get out of it. That's a really simplified answer, but there are so many varieties of therapy. Talk therapy is only one of them, and it doesn't work to solve everything. It really depends on what the person doing the talking wants to happen.
In my case, I had some bad habits that I wanted to kick and talk therapy didn't help; I tried it. I needed CBT. Finding what we want to happen is key in finding what type of "help" or therapy is needed.
