Physical symptoms of depression
I have discovered that when I get upset or experience negative emotions, I feel physically sick. By negative emotions (since I know emotions aren't inherently positive or negative) I mean sadness, anger, anxiety, irritation, frustration, depression, etc. For example today at work I got very overwhelmed with stress on top of having problems with a co-worker and it made me feel nauseated and dizzy. I've noticed this happens nearly every time I feel moderate, intense, or prolonged negative emotions. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you cope? I usually have to take a few minutes to bring my brain back to a neutral state, typically by distracting myself by thinking about something else, but that isn't always possible, depending on the situation.
From my personal experience, I found going outside and take a deep breath help to calm myself. Take a deep breath in, hold it for 4 secs, then slowly exhale for 2 secs. Repeat this steps for 3 times and you should be calm
My stomach has knots in it always and if I press on my stomach you can actually feel the knots it it. If I feel really tight and stressed sometimes I press my stomach almost like an accupressure point to help releave the knots momenteraly.
pains in neck and back and head I get the nauseous sensation too so strong I do t knkw will I actually throw up.
Exhaustation from being so stressed worried and upset all the time both physically and mentally.
and of course I'm always only a few seconds away from bursting Into tears and once I start crying it takes ages before I can stop
