Is it common to fall back into a depressive state after a anxious state?
I was feeling pretty happyish and then i got really anxious and I tried my yoga and meditation and that helped but as soon as I stopped it all came flooding back. I went out to distract myself but that had it's ups and downs. Then I gave in and took my anxiety meds (PRN) and I feel much more relaxed and less anxious but now I'm having trouble focusing on good things instead of bad. And good things DID happen today that mattered to me. Is that a common thing? I'd feel a little better if it was.

Absolutely this can happen! There's no real normal for anxiety and depression; we can whip and wave through them at various different paces and speeds.
It's important to know that what happens in anxiety and what happens in depression happens in different parts of our brain - so sometimes we can have both and other times neither. When anxiety comes on it often likes to take over the show for a bit, which is why it might have seemed unusual!
Hope this helps! Full disclosure: I'm a listener only by the way.
Hi there! Sorry to hear you're struggling a bit with both anxiety and depression. Both classify as mood disorders and it is not uncommon for people to have symptoms from both. Of course, everyone's feelings of anxiety/depression present differently and can be unique to each person.
It sounds like in this case, when you've calmed down the anxiety, some low mood/depression remains instead. If this is bothering you a lot, feel free to discuss with a professional (like a doctor or psychologist). Take care :D
