How to deal with negative self thoughts

I realize that one of my main triggers is when I fall short in my goals. Whether it be something simple like forgetting a paper or losing my keys or just feeling empty I continue to tell myself "I am broken" and I know I need to be able to combat or stop this thought. Anyone have any skills to suggest?

Hi Welcome to 7 cups and for sharing what is happening for you right now.

It must be tough to feel like that, and when i read

I continue to tell myself "I am broken" - I just wanted to ask you if you had tried telling yourself something different?

Thoughts are not necessarily truths thay are just thoughts. And maybe it would be useful to think of them like trains when you are standing on a platform at a railway station, one thought comes and then goes and then another comes and goes and so on.

I hope that has helped in a small way.
