Topic: (Diary - 6/29/17) List of 5 Things You Noticed In Nature Today

Can you think of 5 things you noticed or observed in nature today, using all your senses?

(taste,smell,touch,hear,sight)

There will be a diary topic every Thursday for you to enjoy here or to put in your personal diary!

I believe this will be a beneficial exercise to help us focus on something else instead of painful emotions, troubled thoughts, over thinking, anxiety feelings and the darkness of depression.As well as to see that there really is beauty all around us :)

● I tasted the sweet, decadent chocolate on my tongue.

● I felt the cold rain crash upon my face.

● I smelt the bbq's aroma outside a neighbors house.

● I heard the wind whistling through my ears from the storm.

● I saw the branches of separate trees dancing with the wind.

@BlueButterfly4 Your use of words is so beautiful! Do you write poetry also? If so, maybe post a poem for our enjoyment?

@KingdomWorker

I actually have written poetry a few times but that was a few years back. Next Thursday I might make a poem topic and let everyone share some poetry :) Thank you!

1. I tasted the creamy butter on my bagel this morning.

2. I smelled the wonderful aroma of my coffee brewing.

3. I felt the sweetest form of touch through a hug from one of my students.

4. I heard the excited little gigles from my classroom.

5. I cherished the sight of sweet smiles on many children today.

Oh wow, I love this. This is a huge aspect of mindfulness and has the ability to understand our senses, thoughts, and emotions. Thanks for sharing this exercise, because its precious.
