Hello there <3 First of all, I want to send you a massive hug for your courage in reaching out and telling us what's going on. My heart absolutely breaks for you, and all that you've had to experience, and I can't begin to imagine the fear that you're experiencing right now. You say that you're a bit upset and down, which sounds to me like you're used to him behaving in such a way, is that so? You've mentioned on your profile that you've got a little girl, is she safe too?

What I want you to know is that this isn't okay. No one deserves to be treated in such a manner and threatened with violence, and above all: it is not your fault. You have a right to be safe and happy in your own home, and I hope beyond hope that you believe me. <3

Have you ever been able to talk to a family member or friend about this behaviour, is that something that you would feel comfortable doing?

I want to share this link with you: it's a resource that helps you plan for safety, in case the behaviour escalates, so that you can take steps to keep you and your daughter safe. In addition, there are also specialist hotlines that you might like to call, if you feel that your safety is at risk, or you want to talk to someone with more experience than we have at 7 Cups.

Above all, remember that you're not alone, and you have the power <3 You are a lot stronger than you know, even if it doesn't feel that way, and if you want some more support, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

You are so loved.
