How reliable is Depression Test?
Hi everyone,
I have been going on the test for a while in different months and years. And every time I take a test, the result is severe depression. (for about 2-3 years now). I've been feeling sad and cry almost every day, have extremely low self-esteem and anxious most of the time and do not feel so happy about life in general, except some occasions. Still, I manage to do my job, albeit some mistakes. So I would like to ask if the tests are usually reliable?
Technically, the term reliability means something like, "gives the same results each time." You are getting the same results each time, so in that technical sense the test is reliable.
But whether the test is meaningful is a different matter. It might be giving the same meaningless results each time.
Feeling sad and crying almost every day sounds like a really miserable way to be. Mostly, people who feel that way try to get help—maybe some kind of medication, maybe some kind of therapy. I'm wondering whether you have ever tried these solutions, and who you have to talk to about what to do.
