Breaking through an Emotional Wall

calmField1152 June 14th, 2020

There are times when I just want to cry. I feel as if ... if I were to cry then I would feel a little bit lighter, as if the weight on my chest and shoulders would get lighter. I was told once that this was a good immediate cooping technique. In the past, I would watch movies with super sad parts (parents/friends dying, loss of something, etc) or something super happy (military personnel returning home from deployment, proposals, etc) and those would help. My go-tos have not been helping recently. I was wondering:

1. Does anyone else do this?

2. Any recommendations?

Thank you in advance.

@calmField1152

I do it too, when I'm sad and angry. If i feel like my emotions are bottled up I'll find music that i realte to and type out how i feel. It's usually crazy and all over the place but it doesn't matter because its just for you
