how would you feel if you got this?
I would love a week long break away from everyone. I would love to drink again. I would love to be happy. I would love to not get so mad at the kids I want to leave the house. I don't spank them because when I get mad I worry that if I start I wont stop. I don't like how I am anymore. I get set off so easily. I'm not the same person I was when the older kids where little.

you ask how someone would feel if they got this note... there are many variables to consider
did you know this person was at their breaking point prior to this note?
Can things be changed or is it possible for them to get time away? Have they considered talking to someone to deal with their stress like a counselor/ therapist or even creating an account here you never need to let them know you are here. Our patience does wear thin and i did not have the patience with my youngest child that i did with eldest. What can the kids do to help ? Are they a handful or is your partners stress level so high they think kids are worse then they actually are?

Ahh -ha well i was looking at it from a receiving aspect....
i guess similar questions still apply DOES he know or is aware of your stress? many act as if they do not.
He knows just ignores it. but I also quit bringing it up because there’s only so many letters emails text messages you can send

I totally get that i have similar situation with a spouse.
I found if the nice approach does not work to make it so he cannot ignore it.
Instead of telling him you need time away tell him you are taking X-y days away if you have somewhere to go even if staying with a friend i house sat for 2 weeks last year for similar reason. He found out quickly he does not know how to take care of most everyday things.
I don’t have anywhere to go and I have two kids that do online school so I have to be home with them

I really hope he takes notice of your note then when i was looking from another direction i thought this person is being honest about being at a point where things will not end up well.
