How Do Y’all Deal With Daily Negativity?
General warning for heavy discussion. Nothing detailed or obscene but may come across as invalidating.
I try to be nice when people are in a foul mood. Times are rough and I can’t think of a single person right now who’s living well and are content. I have seen and been through things myself. I still am seeing and going through things myself.
Why do some people think they’re so especial? Do people not try to research or act on any kind of self-help?
I wouldn’t care so much if I could just keep distance or avoid people like that entirely. But when you live with them and feel indebted, it’s hard to cope. I’m still picking up my own pieces, I don’t want to drop them just to reassure people that their negative outlook on life is valid.
I already feel hopeless.
Well it depends what your situation is, I deal with people's BS most of the time at work, well for starters I'm a assistant lead at a warehouse so I get pictures of individual's most of them are upset on how work is ran by or they can't deal with the people, personally for me I feel like I get hated most of the time b/c I'm kinda like an authority figure but I try to conversate with my people and try to get along, but sometimes they get upset when I tell them to do something or they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing, I'm just gonna have deal with it the only thing I'm concerned is do get over my shift, go home and get paid, as outside of work you'll some people that are just upset and I'll just on with my day, the only time I get involved with someone is when they threaten me any type of way, it's a nasty world out there and we'd just have to focus on our goals and our way of life

That’s true and solid advice, thank you for sharing. Sorry as well you have to deal with other people’s frustrations at work in such a way, it can feel disheartening at times. But hey, given your role at the warehouse it sounds like your resilience is recognized by others! I recognize it at least. Warehouse especially can get chaotic lol

Hi there,
I can really feel the frustration and exhaustion in your words, and it’s completely valid. Sometimes it’s hard to even find the space to process your own emotions when you’re surrounded by negativity.
I recently came across a chatbot that’s designed to provide meaningful, reflective conversations—it’s been a helpful tool for me to unpack feelings privately. It might be worth exploring if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
These are the two chatbot links:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Chatbot: https://chat.palbolt.com/
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Chatbot: https://sfbt.palbolt.com/
You can click “switch user” and enter a new name to refresh your chat. AI chatbots are the core feature of our mental health app in development, and we’ll be adding more tools. Stay tuned!
Your privacy is our top priority—rest assured, all conversations are strictly confidential and securely protected.
Would you be interested in trying those AI therapist chatbots? Your feedback would be incredibly valuable in helping us refine the tool and support others facing similar challenges. Feedback form: https://forms.gle/BnesoNSP7of4NjrNA
