Feeling stuck

jacymaze Saturday

I feel like I am spiraling in a very stuck & sad existence. Every day I wake up from a restless sleep pattern to a hurtful partner & painful feelings. I can't just stay in bed & hide away but all I want to do is sit outside & not move to do anything.

I don't know how to move from this spiraling day over & over.

Hello. I am sorry to hear about your feeling stuck, sad, discouraged and tired.

I believe in your short message you have touched so many issues, each and every of them might be of significant importance.

How do you start your day? For me it is very good to relax just a little before going to the daily chores. Like reading a book or drinking a morning coffee not in a hurry (yes, I believe in my case it is even worth waking up earlier). Or sometimes a melody is in my head, so I start with listening to some music.

Are there any reasons behind your sadness? Would you like to tell us something more about the difficult feelings you have to go through every day? Very often unresolved matters from the past, maybe even from as far as our childhood days sometimes, may make us feel blocked, stuck, out of energy and overwhelmed.

Also, I am sorry to say so, but your partner at some point of your life must have been a person you have chosen. Our life choices are often determined by the relationship we observed seeing our parents. Also, mom and dad are among the first people who can make us feel valuable, insufficient or worthless, sometimes for the rest of our lives.

Last but not least, physical health may also be the cause of various issues. May I ask if you were ever diagnosed with depression? How long you've been having those sleeping problems? Does it mean you find it difficult to fall asleep, or do you wake up too early, or your sleep being too shallow and interrupted?

You cannot make it all be perfect in one day, so how about starting with small steps and some "first things first" attitude?

It's your life, and you are the best and only export on that. And I am not authorised to give you any particular advices.

But what could have happened if you tried to address your sleeping problems first (not necessarily with prescribed drugs, maybe some herbs or sleep supplements might be of any help)?

What is the first thing that you think of when you open your eyes? Do you think that your morning sadness and sleeping problems may be somehow interconnected?

Oops, sorry, of course I meant: It's your life, and you are the best and only expert on that. I mean you know yourself and your background much better than anyone else.
