Well I've been around Spanish speaking people for the past five years .. my husband is Mexican .. but all I have learned is basically the cuss words and I answer to Guera, Gringa, and Viaja? lol I understand parts of conversations, but not the whole thing. Recently in December, I spent a whole month in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico to meet the rest of my in laws and none spoke English, nor did anyone really in that city. I know the Spanish words for the food/meat, such as pollo, camaron, asada, etc but .. I need to learn the language entirely! The peso's are decorated w/Frida and Diego Rivera. I got to see the paintings they did in the Basilica in Jalisco and Mexico City .. It was a very interesting trip! And you mention culture .. quite different. I spent Christmas there, so I got to see something called Posada. And the Nativity on Christmas Eve. Different but nice. :)
iTenemos que hacer esto de nuevo!
