Trying is enough

...See more Hiyaaa beautiful people ! Hoping everyone is doing well and staying safe 💜 Let's talk about Trying , and the power of trying today. Remember when you tried something for the first time, how did you feel about it ? Was it exciting, nerve wracking , nonchalant , mix of everything at once ? But hey, however the feeling was , you did try it then and perhaps you're engaging in it ever since . Sometimes our best efforts might not be rewarded with the best results or even results we would like to see , but just simply trying and giving our best is quite something too ~ worth a praise and worth reassuring to keep on trying again and worth a pat on your back for even thinking about trying and willing to take a step forward. 💜 What is something you tried recently? How do you feel about it ? ( remember, it is one thing to get what you wanted to by that trial but another to even have the will to try at something, we want to acknowledge our efforts even when the results are not what we want or not quick to show up for us ) 💜 What is something you'd like to try soon ? Why ? ( this could be literally anything , from wanting to learn a new language to starting your own business to engaging in some self care practice etc ) Hello ATW : @1Vanillaicecream @AddictedTealover98 @Adeline12345 @AlwaysRedeemable @Angela243 @azuladragon34 @Bint @BleuPhoenix @Bosslady9601 @bouncyVoice4149 @BrightHeart1996 @bubblyblueberry89 @Char202425 @ClairePotato @confidentangel2369 @CupidtheKingofLove @cuteOrange213 @Daishy @DepressedTransAlex @DreadfulHannah30 @Drishtiizz @dtanushree @fairmindedWisteria3450 @fantasticDancer50 @frostyIris5554 @GeneralIroh @GhostLily @healingWhisper @herealways27 @hopefulArrow2212 @Hypnotize2004 @iwishuwell @jayahere @K87 @Kenn13chan @LovetoGod @lyricalAngel70 @magicalPainting28 @miraculousheart9815 @MoonlightHelper1 @mxmes @navyHouse3677 @NimoSayeda @orangeAster4 @peppapigisqueen08 @phantom25 @Redskyi @Resourcefulsouth @RideaRainbow @scarletSugar3797 @sincere5772 @SoMicha @StillPlanet @stjarnagrace @SunflowerOnTheHill @Sunisshiningandsoareyou @SweetTortoise @sympatheticCup6312 @TessMo @theheartproject @treeHugger7 @uniqueApricot19 @VerseArt @WelcomeToChat @whackamoo @WhiteDolphin27 @YaboiRogers @Zulegirl Welcome aboard : @0Butterflies0 @sociablePenguin1666 @gioexx @greenYard2803 @whitealbum @acm21 @Zevin @cosmicMeson3141 @kohlrabi1 @Shadowhunter273 @Bitchcraft33 @CreativeRebellion @TeaAddict22 @francisbaker22 @comfortingHope3101 @Paula00 @rimibks @Empressenergy99 @LucasFiction @DifferentWoodz

January 31, 2022 Event: National Hot Chocolate Day

...See more https://st.depositphotos.com/1157537/1359/v/600/depositphotos_13593463-stock-illustration-vintage-metal-sign-hot-chocolate.jpg History of Hot Chocolate Hey Everyone, Happy National Hot Chocolate Day! Since around 2010, January 31st has been recognized as National Hot Chocolate Day. It’s unclear who started this day but I’m sure glad that they did! In this post, I thought it might be fun to share a little of what an online search turns up about the history of Hot Chocolate. First off, some people call it hot chocolate, hot cocoa or even drinking chocolate and there are so many ways to create this tasty drink. “A distinction is sometimes made between "hot cocoa", made from cocoa powder (ground cacao beans from which much of the cocoa butter has been removed), and "hot chocolate", made directly from bar chocolate, which already contains cocoa, sugar, and cocoa butter. Thus, the major difference between the two is the cocoa butter, the absence of which makes hot cocoa significantly lower in fat than hot chocolate while still preserving all the antioxidants found in chocolate. * Hot chocolate can be made with dark, semisweet, or bittersweet chocolate grated or chopped into small pieces and stirred into milk with the addition of sugar. * Cocoa usually refers to a drink made with cocoa powder, hot milk or water, and sweetened to taste with sugar (or not sweetened at all). * Instant hot chocolate or hot cocoa mix may be based on cocoa powder, powdered chocolate, or both; often includes powdered milk or comparable ingredients so it can be made without using milk; sugar or other sweeteners; and typically stabilizers and thickeners. However, mixes can vary widely (between countries and often between brands) in ingredients included, their ratio and their quality. It’s no wonder that there are so many different ways to create, considering that it seems that archeologists have “found evidence that Mayan chocolate consumption occurred as early as 500 BC, and there is speculation that chocolate predates even the Mayans”. It also seems that the Mayans used to “make the chocolate drink, which was served cold” by “grounding cocoa seeds into a paste and mixing it with water, cornmeal, chili peppers, and other ingredients”. Wow, that’s a very long time for a favorite winter time treat to be around! I know that I’m thankful that it survived for all of these years. I’d like to hear from you all: What do you call your hot chocolate drink and how do you make it? I want to make sure that I share the wonderful sites that I found this information: Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_chocolate [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_chocolate] and https://nationaltoday.com/national-hot-chocolate-day/ [https://nationaltoday.com/national-hot-chocolate-day/] and https://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/December/national-cocoa-day.htm [https://www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/December/national-cocoa-day.htm] To be added to Family and Caregivers community taglist click HERE [https://www.7cups.com/forum/FamilyCaregiverSupport_191/WelcomesIntroductionsIcebreakersGames_310/NewTaglistFamilyCaregiversSubCommunity_229656/] To learn about opportunities to join our leadership team and check out our help-wanted post HERE [https://www.7cups.com/forum/FamilyCaregiverSupport_191/FamilyandCaregiversLeadershipTeam_1735/HelpWantedforFamilyCaregivers_228061] Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to strive for excellence. March 18, 2022 Event: The day of Holi
by Moonlemon48
Last post
March 22nd, 2022
...See more Hey Family, Our team event for March invites you all to learn about the day of Holi and how you can celebrate with your friends and family. Although the Hindu festival of colors finds its origins in South Asia, it has now gained popularity across the world, with Holi events organized across the U.S., the U.K. and elsewhere. So here are some things you may not know: * What is Holi? Holi has been celebrated in the Indian subcontinent for centuries, with poems documenting celebrations dating back to the 4th century CE. It marks the beginning of spring after a long winter, symbolic of the triumph of good over evil. It is celebrated in March, corresponding to the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna. * How is Holi celebrated? On the eve of the festival, large pyres are lit in many parts of India to signify the burning of evil spirits. People often throw wood, dried leaves and twigs into bonfires. On the day of Holi, entire streets and towns turn red, green and yellow as people throw colored powder into the air and splash them on others. Each color carries a meaning. Red, for example, symbolizes love and fertility while green stands for new beginnings. People also splash water on each other in celebration. Water guns are used to squirt water, while balloons filled with colored water are also flung from rooftops. Later in the day, families gather together for festive meals. It is also common to distribute sweets among neighbors and friends. Here are some questions, we would love to hear from y'all: 1. How can you share the spirit of the Holi festival from where you live? 2. If you had the chance to invent a festival similar to Holi, what would it be like? 3. Do you have any plans for Holi?
