Languages🇺🇦
Hiii!
So I have a little question for all of you out there!
I've been trying to learn the language Ukrainian for my friend because I love trying out and learning languages my friends speak.
Basically, their mother tongue.
I would love to one day at least know the language so well to hold basic conversations with them.
My problem is if I don't talk with anyone in the language I am learning, I forget a lot or don't use it at all except once every week while I'm learning it.
And I know probably you are asking right now: "Why don't you speak with your friend then?"
I do sometimes ask them questions about something, but I want it to be a surprise effect, you know?
To suddenly one day in school be like: "Hey..., could you give me the book" in Ukrainian without them knowing how I even learned that.
I have searched for platforms to learn it and currently am learning it over a YouTube channel, but it's not the same as learning some things from a person who actually accurately knows the language who can teach me stuff that a platform or a YouTube video can't.
So I was hopinggg and asking if one of you out there speaks Ukrainian and is willing to help me learn it 🙏
And I really want to learn Ukrainian, not Russian.
They can also speak Russian, but I want to learn Ukrainian because they told me that Russian and Ukrainian are NOT the same and even though a lot can speak and/or understand it’s still not the same.
I don't know if it's important because of the dialect or something, but they come from the northeast part of Ukraine.
I hopee I can find someone!
Have a nice day🫶

Hi!😀👋 That's such a thoughtful idea to learn Ukrainian for your friend! I think it's amazing that you want to surprise them with your new skills. While I don't speak Ukrainian myself, I’d suggest checking out Duolingo. They offer speaking assessments that could really help you learn the language more easily and conveniently. Best of luck with your learning, and I’m sure your friend will be so impressed!💛
