Hi! i'm from the U.S., but my grandfather was Middle-Eastern. He was Syrian (raised in Jordan but born in Syria), and he was the coolest guy I knew!

He spoke fluent Arabic with my grandmother and my cousins, (at least 300+ of which were from Jordan), and he loved to play classic eastern games like Backgammon, he would tell tales of when he was back in Jordan, he loved to play tricks and draw out pennies from behind our ears! The upsurgence of hate towards Muslims deeply bothers me.

He was nothing but a human being. Neither are any of the other Muslims, practicing or not. Terrorists do not define any culture of the world; they are the exception but not the rule.
