What practices do you do for self-care?

I avoid situations that trigger me.  I was triggered this past Monday at the facility for group support meetings.  I haven't been able to go back since then, missing my Wednesday and Thursday groups.  I don't know how I'll feel about it this next Monday.  I'll have to wait and see.

As soon as I wake up, I cuddle with my girlfriend and my dog. I usually get ready for the day pretty slowly with some fruit for breakfast, I do some daily app check-ins, and I go feed my guinea pigs while singing their them song.  When I leave, I tell them "Buen Provecho, queridas!"

I finish getting ready and go to work.  When I get there, coffee is mandatory.  When I finish stuff, I'll do some Spanish lessons on Duolingo and work on writing stuff.  Currently, I'm writing a horror story taking place in a casino.  If no one's in the office, I'll listen to music, and sometimes exercise if I get the chance.

On lunch, I either come home or I go on walking adventures.

When I get home, I feed the guinea pigs again, do the dishes and help finish making dinner.  We eat, and usually start watching some YouTube or other TV stuff, currently it's Shameless.   During the evening I'll either go walk the dog, or work out at some point unless I'm being lazy.  Video games or a movie usually will happen unless we binge a show.

At night, I'll go visit the guinea pigs for a while.  Sometimes I'll hold and pet them.  Sometimes, I'll just come over and talk to them.  Sweets stays in her hideouts and just peeks out at me.  Nessa will come over to the edge near me and chew on pellets while she stares at me and listens intently to my stories.

After everything, I have some cherry juice to help me sleep, and I'll listen to horror stories on YouTube until I get sleepy.

That's for weekdays.  On weekends, mornings are for morning walks, coffee, and video games.  After that, always getting lunch somewhere on going on random adventures anywhere.... Along with obligatory shopping.

Sometimes I learn to cook more stuff, do some martial arts, or meditate with the pets to whatever cool music I'm listening to.

And breaks in the routine are generally welcomed!  I love seeing my friends or going on random adventures.  Last week we played pool at a new bar and hung out.
